ABOUT SISTA BURLEY
We've been competing on the Talent Search circuit for a few years now says Katrina Burley, one half of incredible songstress vocal team Sista Burley, and we thought that after winning Muster last year it was probably time to move on and leave that scene for others.
It was great winning in Gympie agrees twin sister Rebecca and it was thanks to that success that ultimately led to us working with Matt Fell down in Sydney and creating our first recorded music. That was just an incredible experience and we are so proud of what we have achieved.
Sista Burley consists of twin sisters Katrina and Rebecca Burley, aged 21. The girls write all their own material, play guitar, mandolin, piano saxophone and trombone and have vocal harmonies dripping with enough honey to make bees swarm! They have already been featured live on Saturday Night Country and their performances have crowds and fellow artists cheering in admiration at their vocal talent. Idol winner Guy Sebastian described Sista Burley as unique in the Australian music industry.
Influences as diverse as Janis Joplin, PJ Harvey, Ray Charles, Tammy Wynett and Dolly Parton show through in the girls work with classic country artists mixing happily with modern female divas and pop singers in the sisters' record collection. Out now through WJO Distribution, I-tunes and other online sources this is Sista Burley's debut musical offering and has already set the country music scene talking. With other tracks available and an album in the pipeline the future looks extremely bright for the two girls from Woodford.

Tamworth Unfortunately, due to the devastating floods that happened in January 2011, Sista Burley could not make it to Tamworth. But this year they are roaring and ready to go! Here is a list of their gigs throughout the festival so be sure to come a long and say hello!
